Next stop in Imola

Austria Formula Cup – Round 2: Imola (ITA)
The second stop of the Austria Formula Cup season takes the series to Emilia-Romagna in Italy, to the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari. A circuit rich in tradition, known for demanding, high-speed, and technically precise racing—making it an early benchmark for the competitive order this season.
Following the season opener at the Red Bull Ring, the entire paddock led by series organizer Franz Wöss travels on to Italy. Attention now turns to the second race weekend of the season, which may either confirm early trends or reshuffle the field. On the sporting side, Sandro Zeller (Jo Zeller Racing) has taken the lead with two victories, scoring the maximum number of points. Behind him are Andrea Benalli (Puresport) and Kurt Böhlen (Jo Zeller Racing), both staying within striking distance and aiming to challenge again in Imola. The situation is tight—though the season is still in its early stages.
Imola is considered a true test. The track combines fast sections with technically demanding parts and leaves little room for error. It is here that it will become clear who can maintain their strong start. The supporting program is also packed with top-level racing: the Porsche Carrera Cup Italia, Campionato Italiano Gran Turismo Sprint, Campionato Italiano Sport Prototipi, TCR Italy, and the Porsche Taycan Cup promise a full and exciting race weekend. The action begins on Friday, April 24, with the first free practice session, where the Austria Formula Cup will take to the track in Imola for the first time. The decisive sessions follow over the course of the weekend. The first race on Saturday is scheduled to start at 11:40 a.m., with the second race on Sunday at 9:00 a.m.—both subject to possible schedule changes.
